Entities
are rated by the Better Business Bureau on a lettered grading scale with A+
being the highest possible grade and F being the lowest. A variety of elements
contribute to the grades assigned. One of the most important factors is a
company's complaint history with the organization. The BBB considers the
severity of issues reported, the efforts and timeliness of a business in
responding to complaints, and the evidence or lack of a good faith effort in
resolving the problem. A history of complaints and results is displayed on the
BBB website for each company rated.
Additional
scoring components include the type of company, the time in business, and other
background information. Licensing status and advertising practices also
contribute to BBB ratings. Each of 16 specific ratings categories involves a
numerical score, and the overall score is used to determine the letter grade
assigned to a business. Companies can be accredited by the Better Business
Bureau, paying a fee to go through a stringent evaluation by the organization.
Holiday Systems International
ratings from the Better Business Bureau are consistently high. With a current A
rating, the company has satisfactorily resolved customer issues according to
BBB standards. Factors contributing to this high rating have included the
length of time that HSI has conducted business, the quality of responses to
concerns, and the volume of complaints based on the size of the company. HSI's
participation in the accreditation process also contributes to its high
rankings with the BBB.
